Westminster Baldwin Park Published in EFA Spring 2022 Issue
FK Architecture is featured in Environments for Aging’s Spring 2022 issue for its design work for Westminster Baldwin Park Phase II. The second phase provides 75 new residential independent living units to an already thriving senior living community. The development is located in Baldwin Park, Orlando, FL.
The campus is designed to promote resident wellbeing, with a total of six five-story independent living buildings, as well as a variety of amenity spaces that blend with the architecture of Phase I. Floor plans range from 1,258 square feet to 2,979 square feet and contain open layouts with multiple large windows providing a welcoming and bright atmosphere. Units also feature premium finishes, appliances, and private balconies with spanning views of Lake Baldwin.
Sustainable building ideas were incorporated throughout the project, such as higher efficiency HVAC systems, optional resident dehumidification systems, a campus-wide HVAC chiller system, zero VOC paints and sealants, and long-life span construction materials.
FK Architecture and Clancy & Theys Construction Company achieved National Green Building Standard Certification for the Phase II buildings.
