Kimberly Hellekson and Lafayette Gardens Project Featured in Building Design and Construction Magazine’s Multifamily Annual Report

Building Design and Construction Magazine (BD+C) published their Multifamily Annual Report and quoted Kimberly Hellekson, Managing Principal at FK Architecture, and highlighted the firm's Lafayette Gardens Project.

Kimberly discusses the firm’s work with modular construction. She says modular construction helps designers include market-rate amenities in their facilities by keeping construction costs down. This is achievable due to the scalable and repeatable nature of modular construction.

"Since modular construction is scalable and repeatable, firms are able to keep costs down on these projects," said Kimberly. "This allows more freedom in the design to build in more common amenities for all the residents."

Later in the report, FK Architecture's Lafayette Gardens Project is lauded for the services it provides residents. Notably, Lafayette Gardens provides residents with access to employment assistance, financial management, and literacy services.
