Remembering Manny Lamarche: A Cherished Colleague and Friend

In Memoriam of Manuel (Manny) Lamarche | March 24, 1964 – April 27, 2024

With a heavy heart and great sadness, we announce the passing of Manny Lamarche, who was not only our colleague but a cherished friend, mentor, and an integral part of our professional family at FK Architecture.

Manny re-joined our team in 2017, and from the very first day, he brought a unique energy to our office. His enthusiasm for work was contagious, and his passion for innovation was evident in everything he did. He was not only skilled in his architectural design profession; he inspired everyone around him with his creative spirit.

A Spirit of Creativity and Humor

Manny was known for his sense of humor. He had a unique way of lighting up a room, even in stressful situations. His laughter often filled our office, making our workload feel lighter and our days brighter.

“I'm going to remember Manny as an explorer with a creative spirit, a big heart, and a delightfully twisted sense of humor,” said Gregg Hemann, a longtime friend and colleague. Manny’s knack for crafting the perfect joke at just the right moment was unparalleled, and he reminded us that a laugh can go a long way in creating an atmosphere where we all can overcome even the most challenging days.

“Manny was a unique soul, full of never-ending creativity, sage advice, epic storytelling, and always had a way to make you laugh,” shared Jesy Acosta, a close colleague. “I will miss our daily talks and laughter.”

 Exceptional Work and Mentorship

Manny’s work was exemplary. He approached each project with a meticulous eye and a dedication to quality. As Keith Demchinski from Ryan Companies shared, “His passion, attention to detail, modesty, and responsiveness made him such a pleasure to work with over the past year.” But what truly set him apart was his willingness to mentor others. Manny was always available to offer guidance, share knowledge, and provide support to anyone who needed it. His contributions to our team went far beyond his job description.

“I knew him as a great designer and fortunate that I was able to have the opportunity to work with Manny, albeit not directly on a day-to-day basis, but I could see talent and mentorship qualities above everything else.,” recalled Doug Williams, Co-Founder at Day One Properties. “I know he impacted many lives through his mentorship.”

Continuing His Legacy

As we bid farewell to Manny, let us honor his memory by continuing to demonstrate the qualities that he exemplified. Let us strive to be compassionate and dedicated and find joy in our work and relationships. His spirit will forever be a part of this team, and his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.

“Manny is going to be greatly missed on the FK Design Team,” said Rafael Marquez, a close colleague. “His leadership, charisma, experience, and great talent are irreplaceable.”

 A Final Farewell

To Manny, thank you for the laughter, the wisdom, and the countless memories. You were more than a colleague; you were a treasured friend and a guiding light in our lives. Your memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.

In these moments of reflection, let us remember Manny for his professional excellence and the joy and inspiration he brought into our lives. His legacy lives on in every project we undertake and in the spirit of camaraderie he fostered in our team. Manny, you will be deeply missed.
